This entry will focus on the best thing that happened to me this week. When I first read this prompt, I was like “my week isn’t over yet. What if my best thing hasn’t happened yet”.
Hello, negative self-talk. It has been a while, hasn’t it! Instead of falling into the trap. The trap that would have me sitting in a space of negativity. I chose to reflect on my week with intention. “There is the best thing that I can talk about”, I told myself this and now here we are!

Ok. So I am back with the fourth entry into my Year of Journaling series! I took the last 3 days off. This was not by design or intention. I wanted to journal daily. So, I celebrate being able to consistently do it for the first 3 days.
But this past weekend, my body and mind had a different idea. Although, I am still in the beginning stages of my journaling journey. Hello, alliteration, LOL. I am obsessed with self-care and self-love this year. So, when myself said, “let’s relax this weekend.” I listened to Her.
With that bit of background information done, let’s jump into today’s entry!
It’s Inauguration Day in the United States of America. Today, President Trump will begin his tenure in the highest office in the land of the USA. While I am not a citizen of this great country. I determined as a temporary resident it was my duty to stay informed.
It is DAY 2 of this Year of Journaling series for 2017. If you missed the first entry, you can read it here! I must say that setting aside time to journal daily is very rewarding. Today, I found myself excited to wind down for the evening writing this blog post.
